<p>Do you want to lose fat?  Have you tried different diets and failed consistently?  If you answered yes to these questions, you are in good company.  There are a lot of people who have been trying fat loss diets over the years and have failed.  The reason they have not succeeded is that they used gimmicks and lose-weight-fast diets that do more damage than good.  Here are some sensible things to keep in mind when you try to lose weight.</p>
<p>1. Find out what is causing you to be overweight.  If the problem is bad nutrition, then see a dietitian or read books that will teach you how to eat properly.  If the problem is more emotional, learn how to take care of your emotions without eating.  Some people gain weight because of hormonal issues, and this might be something you want to discuss with your doctor if you want to see results with your fat loss diet.  Whatever the problem is &#8211; you will be able to handle it better once you know what it is.</p>
<p>2. Learn to be in control.  You need to be the one to decide what you will eat.  Don&#8217;t eat food just because it is there.  Learn to choose wisely when you eat out, and learn to resist pressure by family and friends to eat &#8220;just one&#8221; food item.  Come up with a long-term plan that will help you be healthy physically and mentally, and don&#8217;t fall for fad diets that come and go and don&#8217;t work long term.</p>
<p>3. Eat frequent meals.  Skipping meals and eating irregularly can do strange things to your metabolism.  Instead of eating a few big meals each day, consume multiple smaller ones.  Every two to three hours is usually good timing for most people.  Your metabolism will keep working throughout the day, instead of going through a series of ups and downs.  Watch out for snack foods, though.  Even though they&#8217;re high in fat, it can be much better to snack on nuts than it is to grab a sugary, processed treat out of the vending machine.</p>
<p>4. Chew your food well.  If you eat slowly and enjoy the taste of your food, you will get more pleasure out of eating.  You will also end up eating less because it takes your body some to to register that it is full.  If you eat too fast &#8211; you will end up eating more before you realize that you are full.</p>
<p>5. Don&#8217;t make huge changes.  Many fat loss diets want you to eat totally unfamiliar foods or make big changes in your lifestyle.  Those are pretty hard to maintain, and can be frustrating.  Instead, start out with small, manageable changes in what you&#8217;re already doing.  Once you&#8217;ve been doing them for long enough that they&#8217;ve become a habit, you can move to other healthy changes.  Never starve yourself &#8211; that can actually make matters worse by lowering your metabolism.</p>
<p>6. Eat a balanced diet and don&#8217;t eat processed food.  Eating processed food is really bad for you because it is high in fat and sugar.  It will cause you to gain weight and put you at risk for diabetes and other physical problems. Foods like lean protein, whole grains, and fruits and vegetables are much better for you and will help you stay healthy in the long run.</p>
<p>7. Drink enough fluids.  You need to drink plenty of water, unsweetened teas, and other beverages.  It&#8217;s better to stay away from caffeine and diet sodas because they will not hydrate you well enough. Not drinking enough can cause you to feel hungry when you are really thirsty, so make sure you are drinking enough throughout the day.</p>

<p>The first step to productively benefiting from women&#8217;s online fitness sites is to size up your particular situation.  Take inventory of your current situation, both health-wise and physical condition. It is wise to speak with a physician or fitness or well-being professional before setting out on any cycles or routines.  Speak candidly when you share your intentions to lose weight and emphasize in detail the regions in which you wish to trim down or shape up.  Once this is done you are better prepared to construct a more viable and resultant program catering to your specific needs.</p>
<p>Once you have ascertained where your attention should lie, it is best to explore all the various clubs, groups, and personally designed programs for what is best for you. Weight isn&#8217;t packed on overnight and it certainly won&#8217;t render off overnight.  It is recommended that you set bi-monthly dates to weigh-in and measure.  Any sooner and your just tormenting yourself.  One should also keep in mind that weight loss isn&#8217;t necessarily a good indicator that you are fit.  Muscle weighs heavier than fat.  It will take time for things to return to pre-weight gain condition.  Actually, you may even lose inches, but remain near the same weight of your last weigh-in.</p>
<p>From day one your objective should be to facilitate a restorative and progressive way of life.  Actively journaling your thoughts online, in emails to friends and supporters or in notes to be saved on your computer for your eyes only is a great method of charting successes and failures, feeling, goals, ideas, and measurements.  It can be surprising how mental and physical changes will manifest themselves before you realize it.  Recording your experiences, both good and bad is a terrific mode of documenting your overall experience.</p>
<p>Once you&#8217;ve reached a level of success, whether it be loss of a few pounds, tightening up some flab or had even greater success it is no time to slack off.  It is absolutely reasonable to treat yourself to a day off or indulging in a treat you haven&#8217;t enjoyed in a while. Maintaining your successes is key!  It is so easy to fall into old unhealthy routines.  It is normal to &#8220;fall off the wagon&#8221;, so to speak, but stand up and dust yourself off and keep on striving to reach your ultimate goal. <p>There are a number of books about weight loss and books that claim to be discussing the truth about abs. With the vast number of references available and some which need to purchased, it makes it hard for the average person to truly identify which program will help him or her achieve the results that he or she wants. It sometimes turn out that the things we purchase do not work and thus, we end up wasting our hard-earned money.</p>
<p>A close friend once told me about the truth about abs program. He says that this book is the bomb and that is it is making waves and getting peoples interest because of the results that it offers. I did not believe him at first as I had doubts about getting into programs like such which I would later on regret anyway. I still went ahead and checked out the book for the sake of trying out what a friend has to say.</p>
<p>As I was reading through the pages, I must admit that to myself I felt that this is just one of the typical books which claim to work but truly it doesnt. Id have to retract though and say that as I scanned further, the book made a lot of sense and upon trying the program, I came to understand the same ecstatic feeling of my friend. I am here now to share with you how excited I am about the book and would like to share the same feeling with you.</p>
<p>At first glance, I initially felt that the truth about abs is just another one of them books who claim to help people when it comes to weight loss and being fit. As I continue reading, this book got me hooked most especially in the part where it tells you about several myths about fitness which we have known all of our lives. It was truly an eye opening experience for me. </p>
<p>The truth about abs programs shows the right activities that we should engage in as we exercise. Mind you, these exercises need not be accompanied with the use of ab gadgets. In the book, Mike Geary talks about the most effective routine that will get you on your way to the great abs that you have always wanted. </p>
<p>The program emphasizes the fact that in order to sculpt and tone our abs, it is important for us to get in to weight loss first. What this means is that we need to drop our fat percentages in order for us to get that lean looking abs.</p>
<p>This is why it is very important for us to make sure that we observe a health diet. This translates to making sure that we are eating the kind of foods and that we take note of what we actually intake. A good and healthy diet is required.</p>
<p>I certainly suggest that you get a copy of the book so that you can open your mind to a whole lot of possibilities and I tell you, you will not be disappointed.</p>

<p>Here is a simple principle that will get you rock hard abs. Increase muscle, lose fat &#8211; get rock hard abs. The ads we see, talking about a new ab machine, or an abdominal exercise. They all promise fantastic results. If you want great rock hard abs, increase your muscle mass with resistance training and lose the fat at the same time.</p>
<p>Those machines and exercises we see on TV, give you the impression that by training the abs directly, you can spot reduce and have rock hard abs. They give the illusion that you will look like the heavily muscled or the super trim model that they have demonstrating the machine or exercise.</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s the reality check! You will not look like those fitness models in a few weeks of using their products.</p>
<p>Let&#8217;s keep it simple. Increase muscles to increase your overall metabolism, which will in turn burn body fat.</p>
<p>Resistance training has a way of making the muscles rapidly adapt to the increased demand of the exercise. As the intensity of the activity increases, the muscles must also work harder, which requires more energy to do the increased muscle activity. The body needs to supply the muscles with the energy to carry out its activity.</p>
<p>The body must then burn what we eat as fuel, then when we no longer have any food to burn as energy, the body turns to the its fat and begins to use that as fuel to provide energy to the muscles. </p>
<p>When we exercise, the body&#8217;s muscles are worked at a great intensity, which decreases the oxygen in the muscles. The moment the body has a chance to bring oxygen to the muscles, it will work hard to try to repair, replenish and remove waste products from the muscles. </p>
<p>This increased activity of the muscles will burn more energy, and at the same time cause the body to look for more sources to fuel the muscle activity. When this happens, the body ends up burning more fat throughout the day and continues this activity even after exercising.</p>
<p>After a few sessions of training, the body&#8217;s muscle mass increases and as a result the muscle metabolic activity also increases relative to the overall muscle increase.</p>
<p>More muscle means less fat, which inevitably means rock hard abs. It is really that simple! Train hard and lose the fat.</p>

<p>In order for cardio exercises to work, we need to understand how they work. A cardio exercise program allows the body to burn off fat. But we&#8217;ve always wondered what is the best cardio exercise that burns the most fat. Is it high intensity, or low?</p>
<p>Scientists found that high impact exercise enables the body to burn glycogen which is a kind of carbohydrates. The body stores glycogen in the liver and muscles and will use it for energy. It&#8217;s also believed that under a low impact exercise, the body burns a lot of fat.</p>
<p>If you&#8217;re wondering whether or not it works, the answer is no because there are so many obese folks still around, even though they are working out with low intensity routines. It still makes you wonder how it can be.</p>
<p>The scientists were right when they said the human body burns more body fat during low intensity cardio training like walking or swimming.  But during a high intensity exercise such as running, the body will burn a lot more calories.  Even if some of the calories burnt are from glycogen, there are still many fat calories burned as well.</p>
<p>But that&#8217;s not the end of it. When you run out of glycogen, the body will use carbohydrates from food to recharge the battery, rather than turn them into fat. That means exercises which burn glycogen will help prevent you from storing fat. </p>
<p>High intensity cardio exercise will juice up our metabolism even after we have completed our workout.  What this means is that the body will continue to burn body fat hours after we have left the gym.  </p>
<p>This effect is nearly non-existent in low intensity cardio workout. Cumulatively, the body will burn up more and more calories during and after we have finished a high intensity cardio exercise that it will with low intensity.</p>
<p>In order to utilize both low and high impact cardio exercises, we need to put them together in a routine. For example, walk for about 5 minutes, then power walk (almost jog) for the same amount of time. </p>
<p>Continue to rotate afterward until you&#8217;re finished. For the best cardio exercises, I recommend you do a continuous routine of 15 minutes or more. If you do not like walking, you can use a cardio exercise machine. </p>
<p>What&#8217;s best about cardio is the more we do it, the more energy we&#8217;ll have. Cardio will help us burn calories, although it&#8217;s more useful for keeping our energy levels high.</p>
<p>I have an important message for newcomers. Start slowly and pace yourself, you do not want to get exhausted, do you? Take on your cardio exercise program today and stay in top shape!</p>
